Is 2022 a Good Time to Publish Your Book?
Right now, we’re going through a significant period of transition. 2021 was a year where the only thing we could be certain of was uncertainty. 2022 is emerging as a year of further turmoil, but also one of transition.
But, whenever there’s a crisis or significant change, you can expect there’s bound to be opportunities. That makes 2022 one of the best years to write, publish, and put that book on the market.
Maybe you’re thinking about writing a book or haven’t finished the one you’ve been working on, or perhaps you’re wondering when the right time to publish might be. Well, you’re in luck, because this article is absolutely for you!
Before starting Book Launchers in 2017, I was a real estate investor. I also ran a real estate investing training company in Canada.
I launched that real estate investing training company in 2008. It was a year where everything in real estate was a complete transition and crisis.
It was also the year when many of today’s leading industry experts were created – by being fired, forced to quit, or by simply getting fed up with the status quo. Does that sound familiar?
The 2008 crisis opened the doors of MASSIVE opportunity for anyone brave enough to step out and take the opportunity by the neck and go for it. You have a choice right now … you can wait and see, or you can take action.
Don’t Wait for the “Right” Time to Publish
2008 to 2010 was a pivotal period for so many people. And we have that again right now.
Today’s transitional period is when new voices and perspectives are needed and welcomed. They are already being heard loud and clear in fact (not by all, but a new interested many).
You might not realize it, but people are seeking your ideas. So how will they find you? How will you present it without a book?
Now, I know you might be thinking, “You’re right, Julie. But, I am busier than ever because this transition has created a huge need for my business, my service, my expertise, or whatever, so I don’t have time to write a book.”
Well, one of our clients runs a $50 million a year business, and they work with one of the major corporations in the country.
He told me, “Working with your team has made this easy and even fun.”
If he can carve out a few hours a week to get on the phone with us to get his book written, so can you.
You have the time but not the time to do it all yourself.
You need a full-service support team like we have at Book Launchers.
When you have a writer, an author concierge, a group of professionals, and more, you’ll have the time to write your book AND have it launched by the end of 2022.
That is if you start NOW.
You also might be thinking, “Well, I don’t think the timing is right yet.” Maybe you see the opportunity coming, but it’s not here yet.
Let me tell you this: publishing a book is going to take longer than you think.
You’ll need a year at most to write a good book. So, start before you think the timing is right. Trust me; you’ll thank me later.
Face Your Imposter to Publish Your Book Before You Feel Ready
Possibly you might be thinking, “Who am I to write a book?”
Whenever you think that way, that’s when you let the big lousy monster called impostor syndrome become loud and annoying.
Before you let this type of thinking get all over you, ask yourself these questions:
- Do you know something that other people need to know?
- Do you have the expertise or experience to help make someone else’s life better?
If your answer to these two questions is yes, the world needs you now more than ever.
In 2008, when I started coaching other real estate investors, I had done 15 deals and owned 12 properties with my husband.
I looked around and felt that we didn’t have enough experience to claim we were coaches. I constantly faced this impostor syndrome feeling.
But the reality was, I was helping the person who wanted to buy their first property. I had a lot of expertise with my deals. I’d also done an MBA in real estate and finance, and my husband was a mortgage broker.
We hadn’t done the most deals or made millions and millions of dollars, but people needed our help more than ever before. And we knew how to help!
So tell your monster you don’t have to be the world’s best or biggest at what you do. You just need to have a servant’s heart and be further along the path of the person you want to help.
Have the Right People at Your Side to Publish Your Book
Now, if you’re thinking, “Well, I don’t have an agent or a traditional publishing deal.” Well, I hope you grab a copy of my book, “Self‑Publish & Succeed,” because it will help you with that decision.
It will also help you write a book that will be marketable enough to attract an agent. At least, if you still want one after you read the book. Or, after you watch this video:
Maybe you’re still thinking that you’re not a good enough writer or you just don’t know how to write a book.
Well, we’re talking non-fiction here.
You don’t have to write eloquent prose to write a great book. Besides, that’s why we have writing coaches and editors. You can also work with a writer to help you from the beginning if that’s what you want.
If you want to become an author, there’s always a way to do it – like hiring a ghostwriter, working with a writing coach, or transcribing your own talking and editing that.
Now is the Time to Emerge as Part of the Solution
As we come out of this period of crisis and enter a period of transition, you can emerge as part of the solution.
It’s time to become a new and needed voice to help families torn apart. You have the opportunity to support the people who left their job or were fired.
Open the door to healing for people suffering after the emotional challenges of 2020 and 2021 with your message.
I mean, the list of people who need you is long. And I hope you consider writing your book and publishing it in 2022 to help them.
Even if you don’t have the finances to work with a company like Book Launchers, I’ve still got you covered. It’s why I wrote “Self‑Publish & Succeed.” It’s why we keep posting informative videos and doing our monthly deep-dive training sessions. If you want to be a part of those sessions, just get on our Launch Letter.
We have a wonderful community here to support you, whatever that looks like for your resources and needs.
