Some preference will be given to people located in the Los Angeles area, but that’s not a requirement for most positions. WARNING: This is not a stuffy office job. It’s also not a job where you’ll always have clear directions. We’re a new company. There’s a lot of figuring things out as we go. If you aren’t ok thinking on your feet, jumping in when you see a potential problem, and laughing through the challenges (because guaranteed things will go wrong!), this isn’t going to be a comfortable place for you to work – whether you’re a virtual freelancer or a full time employee in the office.

You will be each author’s primary point of contact for the company, and you will work side by side with the Founder Julie Broad to create and implement a customer experience that WOWs.

Writing Coach Flexible work options & Flexible Start Dates

Must have experience working on non-fiction books, be able to see the angles that will make a book great, and be able to coach inexperienced writers through the book writing process.

You can work from where you live … but we will give a slight preference to people located in the Los Angeles area of California. Our office is currently based in the fun and lively area of Playa Vista in the WeWork offices.

Salary & Benefits – for Employees

The salary will vary based on the role and your experience. Every full time employee can expect the following benefits:

Salary + Profit Sharing starting in 2018.

We’re just getting started so we’re investing heavily in the company in 2017, but we’re committed to compensating every single person on the team for their performance with profit sharing. Starting with our new fiscal year in 2018, 25% of the net profits will be allocated to profit sharing every quarter and divided among the team who was a part of the previous quarter’s success.

If you’re not healthy, you’re not going to be able to perform at your highest level. It’s not required that you be a fitness freak, but we love people who take their health seriously. Fulfilling work is only one part of what makes life great. Eating well, spending quality time with the people you love, and staying active are all important to a healthy and balanced life style. Our office is in a very fun, vibrant and flexible space. We can add space as the team grows, rent space if we want to meet up as a team, or keep the space small if most of the team wants to avoid commuting and work from home. The only thing that matters to us is that our clients are receiving the absolute best care and you are getting your job done.

You know how you work best, and we’ll look to you to tell us what will work for you. As long as you are putting in some hours during the regular business day, we know when we can reach you and connect as a team, and our clients are happy, then you have freedom to control your schedule.

This doesn’t mean you won’t have to work hard – there is a lot of work to be done every day and the pace will sometimes be pretty intense to meet our clients needs. It just means you have a lot of control and say over when and where you do that work.

If you want to take a family trip and not use your vacation time, you may have the option to work while you travel. As long as the clients are happy, your team can reach you when needed and your work is getting done, we are flexible with where and when the work gets done.

This is not about putting in 8 hours at your desk – it’s about results. Remember – the more productive you are and the happier our clients are, the more profits we’ll all have to share at the end of the day.
